Ideas for design remake of facilities

  • Core - 2x2 - 2 or 3 ports, (Start with 2x2, small icon, expand icon and then become 3x3 and keep expanding? Based on level? - Nah...)
  • Spawner - 3x2 - Spawner and storage of the worker in own color?
    • Upgrade - 1x1 - 2 small ports (or 3 on some?), varying positions.
    • Storage of other color worker - 1x1 - 2 small ports, varying positions? Could use specific ports for different colors, but them players could not fiddler around...
  • Portal gtw - 3x3 like plus sign? - T or L shape?
    • Upgrade 1x1
  • Probe - 2x2, 2 ports, 1 or 2 small
    • Upgrade 1x1

Summary: Upgrades with different types => Upgrade boxes. Only one way to upgrade: Bigger boxes.

Storing pos of fac/upgrade

New table on server, just to store the pos of stuff as some things don't really match... or?

Raised questions?

Build all facilities mission, and all at level X. How to handle that?

  • One answer could be (have at least X facilities)
  • Have at least (x upgrades)

Are the other color worker an upgrade or a facility? Upgrade with new system...

How to name them? "Main facilites?" - To differ from Fountain Tracker/Scanner - "Extra facilities". Upgrades may be "Extensions" instead?
